young marriage divorce rates

Correlation between age of marriage, sex before, and divorce?
Okay – I just answered another question about saving oneself for marriage and I had a thought that I wanted your opinion/insight on…
My theory would be that on the average, people who wait to have sex until marriage get married at a younger age than people who have sex outside of wedlock (I have no stats on this – just a hunch, so if you have stats, please feel free to share)
So, my question is, is the divorce rate higher, lower, or no correlation for people who were virgins when married, compared to those who were not? What do you think or have you read anything about this?
All interesting responses – lets put it to a vote…
in countries where virgins are given in marriage, the divorce rate is around 10%. Non-virgins are 60X more likely to divorce than virgins. I did a paper on this recently, so the numbers are stuck in my head.
Virgins have no sexual experiences to compare to, and they only know what they’ve experienced, so are more apt to be content than non-virgins.
Don’t know about the age difference, but it sounds like good research! THX!
