Is there a way to obtain a marriage counselor license in New Mexico without schooling.?
I am very interested in becoming a marriage counselor. Is there a way to obtain a marriage counselor license without the years of schooling. Sorry but if you don’t have the discipline to get an education then we don’t need your services here in New Mexico.
Trying to provide counseling without a license is a quick way to get in trouble and possibly go to jail. The counseling board is quick to write to anyone they even suspect is doing unauthorized counseling and they do prosecute.
