How do I obtain a marriage visitors visa to the UK? and how do I get cleared entry?
I’m a bit of what you might call a noob on this subject but I’m trying to figure out what I’m able to do and how to go about it.
My boyfriend and I want to get married. He’s in the UK and i’m in the US. How do I clear entry and where can I apply for the marriage visitos visa>? please any help would be greatly appreciated.
You have 2 options…
#1) Get married in another country other than the UK, your own home country perhaps or a neutral 3rd country. Then you can apply for a spousal visa. I know in the US processing times for UK visa’s is less than 2 weeks for 90% of applications. The longest it can take is 12 weeks.
#2) Go ahead and apply for a fiance visa to the UK. Then get married once you are there. Same processing times apply for a fiance visa as it does for the spousal visa.
You can not go to the UK and just get married. Their laws are different from ours. You will need one of the 2 visa’s.
