Does Hinduism allow interracial marriages?
I’m a white English girl with no religion, and my boyfriend of 2 and a half years is a Indian Hindu. We are both very happy together and we hope to one day get married and be together always. So my question is does Hinduism allow interracial marriages? And if so, would i have to convert into a hindu? I’m asking the question about interracial marriages as my boyfriends mother had doubts about what kind of wife i would be for her son as im white and english.
It’s parents, not Hinduism that you have to convince. My sister in law comes from a Hindu family, and they took it slow to tell her parents they were engaged. Her parents are great, though. And a Hindu wedding is fantastic, if you can afford it. My brother is not Hindu, but he’s open to the culture. He doesn’t eat meat (well, not much meat), but that’s more for health reasons.
